WashU's 2026–27 academic interest essay (250 words), the Beyond Boundaries and Business + CS program essays, and the optional scholarship essays.
WashU asks one 250-word essay about what you want to study and why (or, if undecided, what excites you about the academic division you selected). Applicants to the Beyond Boundaries Program and the Joint Program in Business and Computer Science write an additional 250-word essay, and three optional essays put you in the running for the Danforth, Ervin, and Rodriguez Scholars Programs.
